I know there are a lot of people who aren't fans of OT posts and the reason they happen in here all the time is because nobody looks at the other boards at all.
Can the developers utilize the space on the right sidebar with the "seen, discussed" stuff to show that for the OTHER boards too? That way topics from the non-Westzone boards will get some exposure on the west zone for people who might care to go there and comment without having to put them IN here?
