Some of you may want to go by and tell a good story. AHEM, Joe Cobb
Tailgating Team,
As some of you may know, we were approached at the Wofford game by the CNN Headline News crew that was looking for a place to showcase Clemson Tailgating for the Notre Dame game. They plan on going to (4) college games this year and highlight different tailgating events. We’re lucky and excited to have them with us this week. The following is a draft that Chalmers, Joe and I are sending out through social media to make sure we have a good crowd available in the early AM on Friday and Saturday.
Here is the schedule.
Thursday afternoon we will be meeting the CNN staff at the Esso at (3:00 PM) (They will spend Thursday and Friday afternoons filming things all over campus for taped segments.)
Friday morning on live TV (CNN Headline News Morning Express with Robin Meade)
8 AM Hour – introductions and showing of food to be prepared (Cheerleaders and/or Rally Cats should be present as well)
9 AM Hour – live conversation of cooking process, seasoning, sauces, etc… with talk of group and what we do each week, how many people, how long we’ve been doing this, etc…
10 AM Hour – CNN staff will eat prepared food on live TV and ask that the audience return on Saturday during the 9 AM hour to see the winner announced.
Clemson media, Iptay, Dabo, and many others have been informed of this so we’re not sure who may show up to help out.
Saturday morning they will broadcast live from the spot again between (6 – 10AM) with Tiger-roar and Take Note student singers as well as interview anyone willing to discuss a great Clemson story.
CNN will leave a camera crew and small staff on the location the remainder of the day to tape anything of interest to them.
The following is a little blurb to send to friends.
Please try your best to attend if you can. Let me know your plans. Thanks
