In N.C. the past few days for a US Am qualifier. Talked to someone who told me some things I already knew. What he told me that I did not know was the Board at CU is fed up with Penley and that it is just a matter of time before DRad pulls the trigger. Also the young tour players are protecting him but the older tour players are not.
Carson Young couldnt really break an egg during this past season. He is away from Penley and Byrd for the summer and he is lighting it up everywhere he goes. I watched him shoot 65 at Druid Hills in Atlanta a few weeks ago and he made it look easy. He also opened with a 65 at Columbia Country Club and easily qualified for US AM. My source told me that Penley wouldnt even play the kid much last year. This I cant confirm. Some of you may know different.
On football, a big Alabama Alum told me that if Dabo keeps Clemson going in the direction they are going he will be in the top 3 they look at. He also told me if Dabo wins a Natty they didnt think he would leave CU.
