Im not even gonna pretend to know how the potential power vacuum would work. A truly elected leader would be good thoughNot so sure this is a good thing. Prigozhin and his Wagner group are very bad people. Best thing that can happen is these guys take pressure off Ukrainian forces
You love to see successful foreign policy.
EXACTLY. This isn’t a good thing for anyone, except the Ukrainians.another politically unstable nuclear power. what could go wrong?
Perfect timing, waiting for the end of the Finals and the Stanley Cup.
That's a trump thing. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/02/23/trump-putin-ukraine-invasion-00010923When does sleepy start sending billions to Russia?
The problem with Russia is that the 130-140 ppl that are effectively able to be a part of a coup all see the World and Russia's place in it the same way. This will have no impact on Ukraine and even the Wagner Chief is admitting that.
You guys realize Putin will put the blame on our shoulders right? And he could be right, idk. But I wouldn’t be celebrating this… Who the hell knows what this will lead to

Wagner's been planning this for months. Takes time to stockpile weapons and gear.Perghozin’s rationale for the coup seems to be a personal vendetta against the Russian defense minister. Publicly, he seems to be saying he is upset over a friendly fire incident. Could very well be that his invoices for mercenary services are not getting paid.
Either way, not exactly someone who is pursuing a moral high ground for the betterment of the nation.
As long as they keep their disagreements on the other side of the world I do not care what they do. Russia has been and always will be ruled by crazy folks. My advice is leave them alone.Be careful as there are people on this board who are fans of Russia and Putin.

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday described Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as “genius” and “savvy,” praising his onetime counterpart for a move that has spurred sanctions and universal condemnation from the U.S. government and its trans-Atlantic allies.
“I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine — Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful,” Trump said in a radio interview with “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show.” “He used the word ‘independent’ and ‘we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.’ You gotta say that’s pretty savvy.”
Guys putin was potentially invading poland next. The infighting in Russia is a calculated welcome outcome as far as world peace in concerned . Weve dealt with a russian power vaccuum a few timesYou guys realize Putin will put the blame on our shoulders right? And he could be right, idk. Russia has historically always wanted to expand west.Helping Ukraine is part of an effort to stop that from occurringYeah. I don’t understand why we are involved at all.
PutinPutin was “potentially invading Poland next” ???
Says who? Where’s that coming from ??
Libs can’t defend their positions without thinking about Trump.
Would seem so. The more I have read this morning, the more it sounds like he simply saw an opportunity. 90% of Russian forces are in Ukraine. And the other 10% are the weakest and least trained. He's like a thief who sees a car with the door open and the keys in the ignition.Wagner's been planning this for months. Takes time to stockpile weapons and gear.
Anything that further weakens Russia is a good thing.Guys putin was potentially invading poland next. The infighting in Russia is a calculated welcome outcome as far as world peace in concerned . Weve dealt with a russian power vaccuum a few times
Poland is a member of NATO. I highly doubt he would try that. Article 5 would kick inPutin
How can anyone argue with this?Libs can’t defend their positions without thinking about Trump.
But Trump...Be careful as there are people on this board who are fans of Russia and Putin.

Some might call the US a bully...and would be justified. Different story....along with US Education.... being a fvcking joke K-12.another politically unstable nuclear power. what could go wrong?
My bad, guess we can keep funding Ukraine after all
Right, but until a little over a year ago the prevailing notion was that NATO was a paper Tiger and increasingly viewed in the west as an anachronism. There’s a big reason why Trump, La Pen, etc seem to benefit from convenient interference from Russian cyber and intelligence ops. They’re all conveniently of isolationist, anti-NATO bent and likely to engage in policies of appeasement if Putin were to further advance his stated ambitions of restoring the borders of imperial Russia/USSR. Just look at how the vatnik soup of right wing US troll “independent” media has covered the war in Ukraine thus far.Poland is a member of NATO. I highly doubt he would try that. Article 5 would kick in
Could have said the exact same thing following the collapse of the soviet union. I'm in the camp of putting a bullet between putin's eyes and then dragging his corpse behind a truckIm of the camp, “the devil you know.”
One of these renegade tycoon generals gets hold of a nuke… all bets are off.
