This is by far the craziest time in my life. You can literally see actual data not adding up to panic and still everyone is throwing themselves into the fire.

I once watched a show about how social media and the integration of data collection could brainwash people into thinking what you wanted them to think. I firmly believe some of that is going on right now. We are going to have a huge push for nationalization of health care, labor, etc coming from the Democratic Party.

They played their hand pretty well so far with this whole thing. It is scary what social media can do to a globe. In spite of ACTUAL FACTS. I saw a post the other day where a lady claimed 1, 600,000 lives were lost to Covid...and over 1.4 million people had liked the post. So now 1.4 million dumbasses think that is accurate.

Yep. This happening in a presidential election year has magnified this shit show 100x over.

The highest projection that I have seen was 100,000-240,000 deaths. President Trump gave that figure about two weeks ago at one of his afternoon press conferences. It seemed crazy at the time and probably was although I’m confident that social distancing saved thousands of lives. Need to get to a more sophisticated method of controlling the disease: testing, tracking, treatments, and vaccines.
