How the Tigers last 3 games have gone?
Muster only 14 points against your hated in state rival at home…and loose. Pitiful.
BARELY beat a decent (A- offense and C+ defense) SMU team with an offense that went into a shell after building a slight lead.
Got beat by a good Texas team that had a good defense and ok offense… by 2 touchdowns. A decent showing by Clemson’s offense which woke up and executed better.
I know Clemson has a lot of experience coming back. I’m just not sure I’m as optimistic as the general consensus is.
Clemson still has the same head coach and the same offensive coordinator. Another year with Luke should make the offensive line better, and you would imagine that Klubnik gets better as well.
The defense will certainly be better if for no other reason than the defensive players and assistants will buy into Allen.
While I am optimistic, in no way do I have as much confidence as many analysts and the rest of the board. I just feel like this offense will go into a shell if it gets a lead and I’m concerned that our quarterback will revert to some of his old ways a long the way.
Am I off base? Hoping for the best, but I’m a little bit more timid than most I believe.
