I have DirecTV but would like to cut the cord. DTV cost about $100/mth. I've never used Roku, Amazon Fire, SlingTV, etc. but I have used Chromecast. The reasons I haven't cut the cord are...
-Set up costs of buying hardware....Roku, chromecasts, Amazon fire, local HD antennas, etc for 5 TVs in the house. Wouldn't this be expensive?
-Wouldn't it be difficult and complicated (not wife friendly) to use all those devices and platforms to watch what you want, Roku, Sling DVR, FireTV, Netflix, Local HD antenna, WatchESPN App, etc.
-Wouldn't all 5 TVs need to be smart TVs to connect to some stuff like the WatchESPN App?
-Seems like it would be difficult changing from a game on the WatchESPN App to a movie on Netflix, to a local channel, to a recording on a DVR, to.... Is channel surfing difficult?
-In the end would I really save money?
Sorry for all the questions but I would love to cut the cord and hoping the issues above have been figured out.
Thanks!
