"Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media, Hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!" -- Donald Trump

I didn't believe this was real. Because what kind of trash human says something like this.

But almost half of the republican base read this and thought, yup, I like that guy, he tells it like it is.

We all know you are OK with that... Trump could hold a black mass and you'd be telling us all how we should be worshiping the devil. You are OK with ANYTHING... if Trump does it.

If a man can say that and still be elected president, I can't think of a poorer reflection of this nation's soul.
Just a few of Biden's greatest hits for you........

In 2010, he warmly eulogized Sen. Robert Byrd, a former Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan, saying he was “one of my mentors” and that “the Senate is a lesser place for his going.”......

In 2007, he referred to Barack Obama as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean.”

In 2006, he said, “You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”
Way back in 1977, he said that forced busing to desegregate schools would cause his children to “grow up in a racial jungle.”

Stop kidding yourself that all of these guys aren't the same person.

Just a thing here ...

Trumpers do NOT represent our base anymore than the Antifa America hating Marxist leftist represents yours. They are just different sides of the same dumbass politically illiterate coin

Of course politicians eat these "people" up, because they are great for business/campaign finance.

Trump won the party's nomination to be president. And still retains strong support in the party. Who's the presidential candidate that represents that segment of the population on the Dem side? Bernie? I'd argue he's not nearly as extreme as the people you are referring to, but regardless, he lost the primary, twice, to awful candidates.

So, this is not a both sides thing. One side has let the crazies control the party. The other side is still being run by the Obama/Clinton wing (far far from being Marxists).

This is fair … and I’ll agree.

What does this have to do with what Trump said? Oh right, "whataboutism"

Just flagging that he's not the only president to recently sit in office that seems to have made really poor choices with public statements, opinions or words in general. Less whataboutism and more friendlyreminderism

Not really the same as blasting a dude the day after he died, but whatever makes you feel good about it.

I think one difference is that our crazies aren't defined by policy positions, but rather they are conspiracy theorists. Most of these people support reasonable policy, unlike the far left who want massive spending, more entitlements and some even think we should "defund the police." They also like the US for the most part, and don't see it as some bastion of evil racism that needs to be dismantled.

No matter what, you always have a tube of lipstick ready to put on that pig. SMH
Nah, it's more than that dude.

I wish that were true man. Honestly as far as pure policy goes, I'm closer to the Republicans than I am the Democrats. Most of my positions on foreign policy and economic policy are either mainstream or to the right of that. I'm pretty liberal on social issues.

Trump has completely taken over the Republican party to the point where any Republican who dares to disagree with him is made a pariah... So the Republicans are either scared of him to the point where they won't say anything or they agree with him. You can count on one hand the number of national level Republicans that have the stones to stand up to him.

Nope... While I agree COMPLETELY with you about the far left, I think that the far right is just as bad, but in a different way. These are the folks that want to "pray the gay away", let anyone have a gun, no matter how crazy they are, and fully believe that entire portions are the government are working to bring the country down.

Lots of folks still focused on Trump. Too much CNN and MSNBC in your daily programming. Move on.
I don't need either to realize Trump's a F'N jerk. If he just kept his mouth shut he'd be doing himself a huge favor. It's the reason he lost the election.

You are tip toeing on the " left hates America" refrain there. Just because people have a different vision than you do of how to make the country better doesn't mean they "hate" it or want to "dismantle" it.

Larry Hogan, Republican Governor of Maryland, has been quite vocal in is disdain for Trump. He is making a Senate run here shortly, and I think he has a good shot. He doesnt need the Trumpers as he has the support of even the Dems in the state. He is a two term republican Governor, from Maryland ..... that is unheard of.

anyways .... youre probably right unfortunately. My Republican ass didnt vote for him in 2016, 2020, and there is no way Id vote for him in 2024. The man is and has always been an embarrassment

I'd vote for Larry Hogan for President over Biden or Trump!

True story about Larry …

during his first campaign I went to a fundraiser for him with my wife and two friends. My wife and I were very minor contributors, but we were still able to get his attention and start a conversation with him. About 30 seconds into our conversation one of his campaign staff people interrupted and said he needed to take a picture with someone. He turned away to take the picture …. We understood, still a little bummed, but … we knew who we were.

much to our surprise, he took the picture with the big wig and immediately turned back to us and finished the conversation which lasted 5 mins.

that is Larry Hogan ….

We are all are entitled to an opinion. No tip toeing here. The left does hate America. Yes, that's my opinion. The left is trying to take away that too.
