Just got a new 4k tv and this was going to be the first sporting event broadcast to watch. Dang it!
College football has become an absolute joke the last two years. If any other sport was this poorly managed I would have quit watching by now. I may eventually get there with cfb but it’s said to see something I love so dearly go down the toilet.
If the whole position group has it, how exactly do you want them to play the game?

My question is how do they know the whole position group has it? Did they all come down with a cough and fever this morning so they got tested? If so then fine, cancel it because the whole DL is sick and in need of treatment. Or are they all completely asymptomatic but were tested needlessly this morning anyway? If so then they're idiots for testing asymptomatic players the day of the game. Hospitals aren't testing asymptomatic doctors and nurses and never have

So, basically, that’s half the ACC bowl games. And this would’ve been a fun one. Probably cost NC State a chance at a top 15 finish.
Sounds like they are not testing once they are at the bowl site unless there are symptoms. My guess is they have symptoms.
It’s almost comical how meaningless bowl games have become if these teams were in an expanded playoffs trust me they would be playing in the games.
With UCLA pulling this hours before kickoff, this should be a forfeit IMO. And if I'm Dave Doeren at the next media availability, I make that very point without hesitation.

The fact Dave Doeren had to fly his sorry ass cross country for his game to be cancelled 24 hours before kickoff has just made this bowl season resounding success in my book
This was actually a huge opportunity for Doeren and NC State. State has not had a ten win season since Phillip Rivers in the early 2000's, and that season is the only ten win season in NC State football history. In a lot of ways couldn't happen to a better coach and team.

I’m guessing this situation will be like the Military Bowl yesterday that neither team gets a payout. IMO the team who can’t play needs to absorb the travel costs for the one that can.

If a player is symptomatic at the bowl site they test. Through contact tracing I'm sure other DL were tested. Also asymptomatic and PREsymptomatic are different things. Just because you're asymptomatic doesn't mean you will not eventually have symptoms.
