Oregon got shafted this year, no doubt about it. But how does it get fixed? IMO the conference champions should get rewarded but it also needs to be balanced. How does the committee reward conference champions but also maintain competitive balance? Reseeding? No reward, just seed 1-12? Stay as is and call this year an anomaly?
My idea would be to only guarantee the G5 a spot and stay as is. Some conferences will always be stronger than others but at the end of the day, losing 3 games shouldn’t get you in most years.
