One of the three people charged in the connection with the Howard's Rock vandalism will go to court in July.

The attorney for 20-year-old Micah Rogers of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, said the case would be in heard in Pickens on July 20. Rogers is charged with grand larceny and malicious injury to property of more than $10,000. He could face up to 20 years in jail this comes after Rogers was accused of damaging and carrying away a portion of Howard’s Rock on June 2, 2013.

Rogers turned himself in after surveillance video of his truck was released as part of the investigation.

Michael J. Rogers, 46, of Pisgah Forest, and Alden James Gainey, 17, of Brevard, were also charged in connection to the incident. Both face charges of felony counts of conspiracy and obstructing justice.

Michael Rogers is Micah Rogers’ father. After his arrest, Michael Rogers said, "My determination to find the truth has resulted with my being charged with a crime I absolutely did not commit."
