I went to a pre-bid meeting today for a roofing and HVAC project in Charleston and ran into Hunter. Since football he has moved into sales for a fluid applied roofing manufacturer and moved to Mt Pleasant. He seemed to be doing great, slimmed down a good bit over the last year, and living with his wife/gf while settling into his new role. Spoke for a few minutes about missing spring and summer workouts, which of course he did not but also about how much he loved having "T.A" (Thomas Austin) as his position coach as opposed to Caldwell. Said it was nothing about Caldwell specifically, just old school vs new school ways of going about things. Even made a comment to say that Caldwell was still showing the Oline video of old Vanderbilt footage at meetings...yikes.
Just thought some on the board might find it interesting. We see these guys in high school, grow up and play in college and lose a good bit on them when they move on with their life. He seems like a great young man and someone that will succeed in life after football. Nice to see our players represent us well as they move on to the next stage.
