1. The OL/TE/ST's look like sh*t. They look like sh*t every year. Guys not even knowing who to block is inexcusable.
It's going to lose us games and get DW4 killed if it isn't fixed before Thursday. I know we're young, but Caldwell was supposed to be an OL god. I haven't seen him with one Top 15 caliber OL since he's been here.
Every center we trot out there can't snap at all. How has Ryan Norton ever been a starter for us? He's horrible. I've made it known, that I think Pearman is useless as a TE and ST coach, but he helps Dabo coach T-Ball, so he's untouchable.
2. I don't like our RB rotation/talent. Gallman is decent, but continually was brought down by arm tackling safeties and db's in the open field today. I don't think his legs are strong enough yet. He's probably the best we have, but he's impatient and just runs full speed, instead of waiting for the hole to develop. He lacks vision, but he's developing.
C.J. Davidson also sprints right into his blockers and is tiny. He has track speed in the open field, but he'll never see the open field with his running style. Dye would have been a beast IMO, but is nowhere near 100%.
Zac Brooks I thought looked like the best RB against Wofford and he's a little bit more patient, with the best combination of size and speed.
Fuller just looks like the typical 3rd/4th string running back on a good team. We could use Choice and Feaster can't get here soon enough.
3. Our backup QB rotation is backwards, again. We had Stoudt, Kelly, and Watson. 2 of the 3 have turned out to be amazingly good QB's, but the one who started last year was Cole Stoudt. Swag was a head case, but there's no way he wasn't miles ahead of Cole. Cole's only other D-1 offer was from FUGGING Wyoming. Dabo loves these underdog 5 star heart guys, which brings me to the main point. How on God's Green Earth is Nick Schuessler getting snaps over Kelly Bryant?! Shuessler was 4th string at Mississippi State, who don't recruit near our level, but slides right into the #2 slot at Clemson, basically because Dabo is buddies with his HS Coach.
I seriously think if Schuessler played the whole game today we'd be in a dogfight with App St. DW4 is literally worth 4 TD's more than NS. Bryant has at least shown that he has the talent to win us football games. Schuessler is a known commodity and it is known that he's just awful. Kelly Bryant is the best runner we have and he's improving as a passer, but Dabo won't even give him a chance to throw passes in a blowout. We have very minor things that keep us from being great, but they're basically the same minor things every year and they don't change.
A lot of our problems could be avoided if Dabo would quit giving Full Scholarships to 0 star recruits. How much could we use another legit TE, OL/Center, LB this year?! Instead we've wasted about 5 scholarships on guys who will never positively impact a Clemson football game. Let those kids play at Presbyterian, Furman, or anyone that will take them. They'll still get a free education, it's not like we're sending them to the streets.
