First of all, thanks for the many prayers you guys have sent. I have read every message or post you guys have written.

As most already know, we were rear ended on I-26 April 30th. Everything happened so fast that I really have no way to explain it. We were our way home from Pigeon Forge and everything changed in an instant.

I don’t brag on my kids, but I will on Carson for a minute. He has changed our Ninety Six community for the better. I’ve had so many messages stating that this tragedy has brought them closer to God and kids are crying out to God at school in front of everyone with no shame. Carson loved Jesus, a friend to everyone and an honor roll student. He didn’t really study or care much for school, but he excelled anyways. He loved Clemson and watched every game with me and his brother. Athletically, he wasn’t the biggest, but he fought harder than anyone else. His favorite sport was basketball. He didn’t score much last season because he was usually the smallest one, but he had recently hit a growth spurt during baseball season that I know would have helped him next season in 8th grade. In baseball he led ALL levels in the Ninety Six program in ERA this season at 3.21. But what makes me most proud is he loved Jesus and showed it every day.

Please continue to pray for me, my wife and his brother. I am really struggling and not sure what I am going to do without him.

Here is his obituary:
