You can take this with a gram of salt if you want, but my IPTAY rep is friends with Tyler Carlton. He told me that Tyler said it was the consensus of the offensive staff exiting Spring camp that, barring injury, Mitch Hyatt would be one the starting five lineman game one.
The line of thinking was he would start at LT and Battle would move to RT.
My rep said technique wise he is the Deshaun Watson of O linemen. As good as we've got first day on campus. He just needs strength development. No doubt losing Battle hurts our depth, but this does make me feel better about Hyatt starting. Sounds like the learning curve may not be as steep as we assumed.
