I can't count how many times I have been called a socialist (I am not) or a communist (I am not) on this site over the years. Now I learn that my tax dollars that have already been paid in full will be repackaged into checks and sent to many of those same yokels that called me a socialist.

I won't get a check b/c my income exceeds the ceiling, but they will. I guess in the end we are all socialists.

I won’t, for good reasons I’m fortunate to say. However, if I did receive something, my family and I would find someone in real need, and happily provide every penny to them.

Be honest with yourself. What they are proposing is not only socialist, it is a redistribution of wealth. I am willing to bet that you used those same terms to define Obamacare when it launched. You probably also bashed Obama for the stimulus package and the auto bailout.

This is quite simple. I am not getting a check from the government. You are. My taxes are paying for that. I am honestly OK with it, because I know people are going to be hurting (I know I will be as well). But lets call it what it is. People who have complained about moochers and social safety nets for years now all of a sudden are all for it.

I am not trying to shame you personally (I dont know you). I am trying to shame people who complained about others "taking handouts" and those who have repeatedly called me a socialist, and now are more than willing to take my money.
