Assuming they most likely return to the team we've known and loved the last five years, this is surely a moot point.
Personally, I think he should be gone even if he makes the World Series. That temporary bright spot would fade quickly when the "I told you so's" start flowing from Jack. So many loyal Tiger fans are just beyond the point of caring at all. I could care less about any negative publicity associated with canning him even if they go on a run here at the end. Fire him on a Friday afternoon and all will be forgotten by Monday.
