Trump was great, and I loved his policies as Pres. The world was literally turned upside down by the establishment during Trump’s tenure… they let loose a virus for goodness sakes.
I saw what I needed to see in this election last month. Trump time is over, and the folks want a policy driven conservative, who can run this place. I own 3 separate successful companies.. I get it. DeSantis/Kemp type will run away with this, and it won’t be close. Herschel couldn’t even put a sentence together, and he almost won..
That’s all I needed to see. Time to focus, and let the TDS sufferers continue muddying themselves in the ditch… both kinds of TDS sufferers.
We think so much alike. I always saw Trump as a total outsider and even a virus as you described.
People just don’t see how much DC is a culture to itself. You get there and you are absorbed into a different world. These people have no regard whatsoever about anything but power, wealth and prestige. It is part corporation and part crime syndicate. It is all about doing the bidding of powerful people and entities for payback. Laws are all co- written between government lawyers and corporate/special interest lawyers like two crime families negotiating a drug deal. They all get elected paupers and leave millionaires. It’s really that bad but you have so few who get it. The bureaucracy is almost completely made up of minions doing the bidding of their masters. Trump wasn’t there for any of that and couldn’t care less. He was crazy enough to think he could get his promises accomplished. He did a truly amazing job in spite of his own party and every establishment besides.
It never fails to trip me out how easily people are fooled by the narrative that he’s a criminal out for himself when he lost over a BILLION DOLLARS of net worth the four years he was president. He’s the most investigated man in history and under continuous audit by the IRS but somehow, some way, he miraculously escapes like the Roadrunner gets away from the coyote every single time and people still don’t get it, they still believe the lies.
Who is "they"? The fact that you believe that "they" would release a virus and unleash hell on the entire planet, just to spite trump, tells us everything we need to know about how much you worship trump.
By the way, the my pillow guy is claiming that DeSantis cheated to win. You will have to pick sides for real soon. All that election fraud nonsense will now be directed at your new crushes.

If you think I care about my pillow man, you’d be wrong. I’ve never once even watched one of his videos. I like DeSantis, but if a better option (again… business policy driven/no drama) candidate arrises, that’ll be my choice. Who we that may become will run away with it in ‘24. Trump time is over… but I’m grateful for many of the eyes he opened during his tenure.

as ive written before, creating term limits by itself accomplishes the opposite of what you might be seeking. without significant reforms to money in politics alongside term limits, it would consolidate power in the lobbyist class in a way that far outstrips the current environment. They are the ones who would stick around, understand the levers of government, and even moreso than they do today, run roughshod over the constant streams of new legislators who don't know how things work and don't have the time in office to develop policy expertise of their own.

Term limits unfortunately will never happen unless the entire elected and unelected group running DC is somehow removed and replaced with honest American Patriots.
