Big announcement. Wonder who the nominee will be? McConnell says a vote will happen this fall and they only need 51 to confirm.

I have no idea. But how crazy would people be if this was decided on an episode of The Apprentice that aired Sunday nights on Fox?

I mean Trump's already done a reality style pick by having Gorsuch and another judge travel to DC so as to build drama and suspense for his nominee announcement. For his many faults, Trump knows show biz. Why not take it a step further?

Thankfully this kills the Bernie movement. Hard to pass socialist laws with 6 no votes on every policy.

Not at all. The Lochner era has long been over. Expanded Medicaid and Social Security, the core of his plans, would not be struck down by the Court. The Bernie movement will live or die at the polls, like it should.

Sad to see the country turning itself backwards. See you all in hell

This is what makes America great! I’m glad to see us finally turn back in the right direction.

You had your 8 years of fun. If you want to change it vote. You get another chance in a couple years. Depending on where you’re registered you could have another chance this fall.

It’s way bigger than expanded Medicare. You have a large portion of this country supporting extreme left leaning candidates that would be considered extreme even in Europe. A right leaning Supreme Court will keep the federal government from becoming the world order.

The right has been downplaying the socialist left the same way the left downplayed the trump right.

What a great day. I have a good feeling Ruth isn’t gonna make it to 2024, time to stack the court.

Don't get me wrong - I don't care what he said or how he justifies this. The important thing here is to preserve the court. Nobody will remember Mitch McConnell in 50 years, but they will live in a better country thanks to these maneuvers.

LOL at nobody remembering a long-serving Senator who was an impactful Majority Leader for a significant amount of time. While I have hope for a less political court, ironically the endeavor to put justices on the court who won't rule according to their political preferences has made the confirmation process more political than ever. Is that because the court had previously overstepped its bounds? Yes. Did Democrats start the shift towards evaluating SC Justices based on their philosophy and points of view rather than on their merits as a jurist? Yes. I'm just not entirely sure we're going to like the ratcheted up partisanship quite as much when Democrats have a majority.

Get on the trump train, or disappear until 2024.

Your only 2 options.
I want to feel bad for you but your self-righteousness makes it rather difficult
You first
I’m probably younger than you by 20+ years so barring bad luck you’ll be there before me

I don’t know how people could think in any way shape or form that we are turning back in the right direction on social policies. This country will always be robust financially. It’s too powerful not to be. However, we could be role models for the rest of the world with social change. We got a good start by recognizing gay marriage. We are almost there in making abortion services more acceptable. We had a good start towards universal healthcare.

Sadly, all of that progress looks be on its way down the toilet if conservatives have a stroke of luck in appointing Supreme Court justices. I can’t imagine a country where a woman can have an unwanted pregnancy and a medically safe alternative is deemed illegal. That just sounds backwards to me.
Don't you worry. Trump is turning it back around. We will soon be great again.... #MAGA
He is turning it around, but not in the direction you believe.

So the government shouldn’t be involved in marriage at all. Universal Healthcare is and always will be a failure. A woman does not have the right to murder another human just because she doesn’t want it.

Did that help clear anything up for you?

A strong government backbone with a private option is a great option. We spend the most by far and have a mediocre healthcare system.

The fact that you think abortion is murder lets me know you haven’t matured enough to have an open conversation. Thanks for making it easy for me

Negative. Sycamore for me.

and Wooden Robot isnt bad either.

I haven't been to Southern Tier but have heard its good. We have a Management meeting there in a couple of weeks.

The number of brewerys in Charlotte is past asinine really.

Oh and it is quite possible that the current administration gets 3 judges seated.

The brewery scene is definitely way overkill. I would expect at least half to be gone as soon as the next recession hits.

I would say murdering unborn children who have no say in the process sounds backwards to me.

The fact that you think a human can’t exist geographically located inside of a womb with its own pain receptors, brain waves and heart beat makes it easy for all of us to know you are a very low IQ person.

Expecting it to be Hardiman so soon to the last choice, he was a finalist last time.

Now get Breyer or RBG off, via their choice or God's, would be nice.

She will at least hang on like grim death until the 2020 election is decided. But I agree...regardless of a Trump win or loss, she won’t make it to 2024.

It’s not murder in the first few weeks. It’s terminating a pregnancy

Is it really a human if it’s in the first few weeks and still just a small bundle of cells? Are eggs snakes? Is the yolk a chicken?
