This and an Italian military plane took rounds departing today

Glad to see Biden and Kamala are more focused on helping ensure the dems don't lose the Gov seat in Cali though.

Confirmed casualties, including US Marines injured. This is spiraling out of control now

The reporting on Foxnews is very accurate on this.

This isn't the Taliban

Please note that the Taliban, ISIS-K, Al Qaeda all actually hate each other. They are like Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. They will all sing SEC SEC SEC, but they fight for $ and recruits.

Yep, 100% correct. Concern should have always been around the influence of more extreme groups flowing In from the borders. This isn't getting enough coverage.

Yeah this is ISIS-K. These are local guys. Many released from the prisons.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say how comical it is that y'all are linking articles from fake news so much lately. It's like a daily thing now. Guess it isn't fake when it's damaging to Biden?

Reuters is now fake news? Wow......

Guys this whole Afghanistan thing is being blown out of proportion by the Conservative media just to hinder Biden from focusing on the white supremacist problem in this country. Which is our real domestic terror threat. Their blowing up of buildings, harassing, threatening, and beating people of color is on FB, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube etc. daily. It’s all there for us to see. This Taliban thing is just a distraction.

Oh wait, upon further inspection none of these things are on social media. My apologies, carry on.

Oh, got it........we are still talking about Trump. I keep forgetting some of ya'll have this massive void in your lives since he left office like 8 months ago.
No, we're talking about Trumpers, i.e. you. Is the msm not fake news anymore, now that it's rightly critical of Biden now?

How could anyone justify a blast that kills 4 marines and even more innocent people? Fake news also?

I get what you are saying, but don't you think Bama, Aub and UGA would all root against Clemson? None of them are US allies.

Absolutely. That said, the Muslim culture values being a good host. It also expects guest to behave respectfully. ISIS-K and Al Qaeda are "guests" in the Taliban's house. The Taliban will provide them protection as long as they are good guests. That said, executing an unsanctioned attack embarrasses the Taliban and there will be repercussions at some point. You and I may never see it, but it doesn't set ISIS-K up for a friendly stay in Afghanistan.

The Taliban do not like that ISIS-K and Al Qaeda try and recruit their young fighters away from them. It's a big deal because it eats at their power base. In 2018 the three groups where going full at it all summer long. We just sat back and watched while they killed each other. It was beautiful. Also in 2018, it came out that The Taliban inner circle hid the death of their leader, Mullah Omar, for almost 2 years. His #2 was issuing fatwas and edicts in Mullah Omars name. It was a "Weekend at Bernies" situation. Needless to say, when word got out Omar was dead for a long time, lots of folks in the crazy circle weren't too happy with the inner circles' deceit.

For those that don't know, the three groups' ideology is similar but different in scope.
The Taliban (which means 'The Students' or 'The Seekers') want an Islamic state in Afghanistan. They don't care about much outside their borders. They just want to govern themselves according to the Koran.

Al Qaeda wants and pan-Islamic Caliphate across all Muslim lands. It rejects the kingdoms and believes Emir's should govern. Believes western influence is bad. Infidels need to be removed from these lands. If you aren't a Sunni Muslim, you are an infidel. They hate us because we are in Muslim lands. They'd hate the Russian and Chinese just as much if they were there too.

ISIS wants the entire world to be an Islamic State. Convert or die. Al Qaeda considers ISIS too extreme which should tell you about the crazy level of these guys. Fortunately most of these guys are now sand in the Syrian desert or blended with the rumble of Iraqi towns.

You'll also hear about the Haqqani network. These guys are mostly in SE Afghanistan.. They're bad dudes and see eye to eye with Al Qaeda on a lot. They are more like a crime family though. They seem content with controlling their little corner of the world.
