Apparently wine and cheese are what caused him to become obese. (Insert joke about him being a Tar Heels fan)

I'm going to go to "stone" as a measurement of weight. It sounds better to say "I gained a pebble or 2 from quarantine drinking."

I’ve read he purposely maintains his weight because it makes him look like his grandfather who is apparently quite revered in NK.

A couple of glasses of Red wine with food is healthy. Too much cheese obviously is not.

Mike Pence would fit in well there then.

went to school with Mike Pence. Many a science class together in one of the top school districts in the nation. He was and is a great student, actually a very humble, nice person. He knows a lot more about the sciences than most of the techno-superstitious gaia worshipers on this board.

You should tell your buddy to stop saying things like “smoking doesn’t kill” and to stop pushing pseudo science on children then.

I think Pence is the best VP we’ve had in forever. Great leader and a very kind person. Wouldn’t mind seeing him or big bad Nicky Haley run in 4 years. The Dems have no bench right now, or for the foreseeable future. Just a bunch of old crazy white men.

I think the Dems probably have some decent candidates - based on sheer numbers there have to be a couple in there SOMEWHERE. Maybe stuck in the corners or something - check behind the fridge. But they are so all-over-the-place on so many issues that none of them can get through the primary.

Go mainstream, and the far-left goes nuts. Which draws headlines.

Go far-left, and the mainstream democrat voters will abandon them.

So you end up with Biden. Who was never big on common sense and now seems to be losing it at an exponential rate.

Republicans have a similar problem but it doesn't seem to be as pronounced.

I agree with you and @Earle36, bunch of over the hill has-beens mixed with full-on younger dingalings who have more mouth than brains/experience. You know who is coming up fast? Gavin Newsom. I could see him in 2024. Pair him with a female or minority candidate...could easily see that, especially if his plans to correct the issues out here start to show progress. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I think Cuomo is going to be their guy. He's actually shown the ability to "cross the aisle" and put politics aside. But Newsome - maybe. A potential problem is that anyone from California is FAR left until proven otherwise.

But the mileage that these guys get out of this stuff expires pretty quickly.

I agree - Cuomo has caught the attention of many Americans. FOXNEWS has also posted a poll showing Americans trust Cuomo more than President Trump right now. Many politicians were tuning into his press conference daily at one point. I can also see Gov. Newsome making a run as well. Pair a leading Hispanic Democrat or strong female and I can see the Dems making a strong push. I’ve met Stacey Abrams several times and I understand her appeal to some but I don’t understand why she’s so popular. She was even rumored to be a potential VP candidate

On the right, I really hope Nikki Haley runs. Or I’d be ecstatic with GEN Mattis making a run as well.

From the business side, I know Cuban has been rumored about mulling running for President. But I think Bob Iger would be an interesting choice. He’s interested in politics and he’s got a little more free time right now.
