USC fan calls into Carolina Calls tonight to ask why it seems that Clemson is loaded with young talent as well as upper class talent on both sides of the ball while USC doesn't look like an SEC team. Caller wondered why after beating Clemson for 5 years, USC has fallen behind in recruiting.

Langston Moore explains. (Paraphrazing) USC has to compete with SEC teams for talent and Clemson has to go up against Wake Forest for players. SEC talent is different than ACC talent, so Clemson goes all over the country. They go to Hawaii just to get players and these players have culture shock when they get to Clemson so that is why they wash out at such a high rate at Clemson. Clemson can't keep players so they go to Texas and go to Idaho to pick up players with ACC talent.

USC is competing for SEC talent and sometimes these players get poached but sometimes USC poaches these players from other SEC teams.
