I keep seeing people on here talking about Louisville's defense and I am trying to figure out why people are so high on them. Sure they have talent and sure they will throw the book at Clemson and Watson but let's break it down through two weeks.

Rushing Defense: 208 yards a game (106th)
Passing Defense: 186 yards a game (56th)
Total Defense: 394 yards a game (77th)
Scoring Defense: 32 points a game (98th)
Sacks: 2 (98th)
TFL: 9 (100th)
Opponent 3rd Down conversions: 46.88% (114th)
Turnover margin: -1 (96th)
Turnovers Gained: 4 (29th)
Yards Per Play: 5.12 (66th)
Opponent Plays 10+ yards: 26 (69th)

Also they are averaging 7 penalties a game but we are averaging 7.5.

I know they have played two quality opponents so the defense is probably not as bad as the numbers suggest but I would suggest Clemson is possibly the most explosive offense on their schedule and Watson is definitely the best QB that they have seen.

This is a defense that simply is not making plays behind the LOS, negative in turnover margin, allowing a lot of yards on the ground, allowing a lot of points, and simply not playing great football right now.

I know they have some good players but I also know they have Grantham as the DC. I just do not see them stopping this Clemson offense when Tony Elliott and Company open up the play book. I just think there are too many play makers for the Louisville D to stop and I think Gallman is doing a really nice job of finding holes and becoming a really good and dependable RB.
