Lowcountry irrigation help (well vs separate water line)

I'm looking at installing a well (charleston area) vs paying for a new meter just for the lawn. The tap fee for that is $500. I think the well costs about $2500. I'll have irrigation setup as well. For anyone in the business or who has done it, please offer advice. Thanks.
