I love God Family Country and Self

I see the polls and realize that most people in America who say they are really not proud of America but are shamed by their own self and failures

Folks you are going to fail I have my list

You have my hope that you realize you got to get up and keep fighting

God Bless America and stop being ashamed of being in a country where you must be your own man and rise to the level you can

Unfortunate reality that half of the country runs on a platform of how terrible this country is, how horrible its people are, and how oppressive things are. When you use that propaganda to gain followers and votes, you intentionally corrupt the minds of Americans.

Which half is that?

You can love your country and want it to be better at the same time.
Those same people have probably never been to other countries to see how good they actually have it. Colin Kaepernick thinks that Cuba is a great country. I have been there. The country is beautiful, but their leadership/government has destroyed that country and it's people.

Don’t let the media and their propaganda fool you. Most of us are very proud. Pitting us all against each other to drive an agenda is the goal. They love to use “isms” to divide us…patriotism (lack there of), racism, sexism, classism, etc…I believe the silent majority is starting to wake up.

Honestly man, are you talking about the republicans or democrats?

I assume you are talking about the MAGA crowd and if so, I fully agree with you. America is a great place today and by most measures we are in better shape now than ever. People who imagine a 'better time' at some point in the past mostly have very little knowledge about what our past was really like.

America is still the best country in the World overall.

Amazing, but actually more Providential, that our Founding Fathers could have foreseen so many of the issues that would arise.
Brilliant beyond any 'chance' of such happenings.

However, self-centered, squeaky wheels have chided and moved our gutless modern 'leaders' to give in and give away so many of the necessary Rights that were intended as the 'guard rails' for Democracy.

Instead of 'for the people and by the people' we have degenerated into a 'for the individual and by (maybe buy?) the individual'.....

Without rule that addresses the majority of the populous ........not every little niche or focus group.... you are guaranteed bickering and constant chaos.

Had we leaders now like those that started this American 'experiment', the United States would be a much better place today than it is.

And, it's still the best place around.

Happy Birthday, America!

You say that but the 90’s were tits

I was wondering the same thing. This two party system really sucks. Currently, our two major political parties bicker like petulant children and paint the picture that our country is doomed and the only way to fix it is to vote for them. At least 95% of the politicians are corrupt and do whatever the folks that bankroll them tell them to do. They’ve successfully brainwashed 100s of millions of people. It’s wild when you think about it.

I disagree with your assumption and "polls". The squeaky wheel gets the grease and the media peddles a narrative that most people hate America.

I just finished up a parade in my neighborhood and Patriotism and love of America is still a thing for the vast majority of people.

I intentionally did not name one or another of the shit 2 party system. Though I have my own beliefs just like everyone else and appreciate the responses. But that’s ok by me because we all have a say - that’s part of what makes our country great.

Objectively, 2 posters who responded are on the left/blamed the right; the other 2 asked a legitimate question but lean left based on history here.

IMO we have one party who doesn’t like the other and ridicules them. We have another party who hates the other and ridicules the country as their general platform. Sad either way you spin it.

Consider what you're saying. You're blaming all these things but the reality is we have allowed all this to transpire. We have allowed ourselves to be "brainwashed." Government is a necessary evil but it is nevertheless, evil. That's why our Founders knew to keep it small and its role in our lives at a minimum. It is we who have allowed this pervasive force to infiltrate so much of our lives that now government is the center of all things. It was never intended to be that way. In fact, it was specifically intended to NOT be that way. Get caught up in whatever tertiary things you like but ultimately, it is our ignorance and stupidity that has allowed this to happen. We the people are the ones who have done this.

I have had the fortunate experience of living outside the US for over 22 years now and I've witnessed the good and bad in other countries. Yes I've lived in some exotic destinations but also see what the tourists don't see and the living conditions would make the homeless in San Francisco, LA and NY wish they were back on those streets after a month of living in a cardboard box in the dessert with no water, etc.
I laughed at Harris's border solution when she suggested they send millions of dollars to Latin American countries to fight the poverty, create jobs so those people wouldn't want to flee. She obviously has never lived nor spent much time here because she would realize that sending millions to Mexico, Guatemala and the rest wouldn't solve one thing since the people would never see a dime once it hit the politicians hands then the the cartels after or in some cases before.
The people here don't like socialism, it doesn't work and has been proven a total disaster except free health care. LMAO Go into a social security hospital in Mexico and it's a 50/50 you aren't coming out alive.
Cuban immigrants were a prime example of what happened in Miami once they became citizens, the majority quit voting for leftist policies and started to vote the opposite only to be labeled "not true hispanics".

When I'm back in the US regardless of whats happening in DC, I love the freedoms and modern conveniences I don't have here and spend tons of money splurging on unnecessary things because I can.
Watching the US from the outside and how other countries televise whats going on makes me believe that most people aren't what the US media portray on either side, they're just the most vocal so they get the most press.
One extreme if you're far right is you're a MAGA redneck and the other side if you're far left is you're leftist libtard.
I truly don't think they make up a majority of the US Population because I think the majority actually remain silent or neutral for the most part.
JMHO and anyone that disagrees can GFY. LOL

Why don't you just come out out and say it and stop pretending to be nonpartisan.

Lol. The media boogeyman again.... That's a very simpleton take on the situation, just because you don't want to address the problems.

“Simpleton”…Says the guy who chose not to express a solution. Idiots like you are just as big a part of the problem. Sometimes, the situation is as simple as it seems. As for my solution, it would be to have a media that is objective, equally, which we know is not going to happen.

Sounds good. But simple it isn't. What's not objective about media? The opinion entertainers are certainly biased to their positions on the political spectrum, is that what you mean by media? But only one side has been proven to actually make shit up.

We may very well be on the same side as it relates to which side of the media misrepresents more often than not, but in any conflict/disagreement, both sides still have to find a way to meet in the middle. And for the record, please point out a media source that you don’t believe is biased one way or the other. I’m conservative, and while I believe conservative news sources are more objective, I’m not so naive to think they should not be scrutinized. It could be argued that we are about as close to a state-run media as you could have…and that’s not hyperbole.

What's really tragic is you actually believe this. You're way too smart to be this big of a leming. Both sides of the media, which in and of itself is a tragic statement, make all kinds of things up or manipulate facts to create a false portrayal of something. Anyone who doesn't recognize this is a hardened partisan and one of the so-called brainwashed.

Oh yeah, you meant most of them. CNN, MSNBC, Fox, NY Times, Washington Times and many more have all been caught lying and making shit up.

Yeah, it is hyperbole. I don't know what to tell you, man. You saw from the lawsuits what Fox did and does, and still fine with it? Example from one of the left leaning talking heads, that's comparable? Have a good 4th.

Wouldn’t want you to apply the same standards to other side. As I said, it’s idiots like you that are a significant part of the problem. You only see one perspective. As a conservative, I still have no problem criticizing or scrutinizing the side I’m more in line with. I’ve met very few on the other side that can do the same. Try it sometime. It’s refreshing to be the adult in the room.

I graduated high school almost 40 years ago so I am no spring chicken but I had some classmates that posted recently that they weren't celebrating July 4th because it had nothing to do with their independence. You can only guess which way they vote. In my 57 years I have NEVER heard a Republican say that.
