I had a chance to get out and see Clemson LB commit Tre Lamar play on Friday night, in a game that featured several other Tigers targets, including 2017 DBs LeAnthony Williams and Xavier McKinney, as well as recent 2019 Clemson offer Dominick Blaylock.

Here's what I had to say about Lamar's performance:

After struggling with injuries during the offseason, Tre Lamar slipped out of the Rivals100 and currently sits at No. 109 overall. Fully healthy and playing a lighter weight than he did at offseason camps during the summer, Lamar was very impressive while flying all over the field to make plays. Not only was he great at stuffing the run, but he had a quarterback sack and several hurries and also made plays on the perimeter while defending the screen game. Lamar remains committed to the Clemson, but Auburn hasn't given up him, and it's easy to see why both programs want him as the future heart of their defense.
