Overall, this game was opposite of what I thought would happen in the rain. I thought it would be a game where ND ran a lot and shut down our run.
So glad for the win, but I think Clemson's defensive depth is a weakness that gets exploited by ND in normal conditions. No way we get to the QB late in a game, and their receivers don't drop all of those passes in dry conditions.
I hope we can start developing some defensive depth over the next several weeks, and on offense find a physical presence at the 9. The impact of the loss of Mike Williams becomes more evident every week. I like what another poster said about sending Cain to a Jerry Rice/Michael Irvin immersion camp. Ready to see the light come on for that guy.
