Anyone else feeling a little less confident about this matchup next season?
I was looking at Boise's offensive stats from 2014, and in his first season there Sanford had better stats than Boise had had in the previous 6 years. In fact, his total yardage (6920 yds) were better than any year Clemson had under CCM by 300 yds. Yes, they played inferior competition, but he still oversaw a drastic improvement upon previous seasons at Boise. The general consensus seems to be that he, at 32 years old, is one of the brightest young minds in CFB. Zaire had almost 300 yds passing in the spring game with 2 TDs, and ~100 yds rushing with 1 TD + ~100 yds passing with 1 TD against LSU. Small sample size, I know, but reports are that the kid is supremely confident and could become a great leader for ND.
A few months ago I was fairly confident that we would win this high profile matchup next season. With this new OC/QB combo at ND, coupled with our talented but inexperienced D, I'm getting a little more nervous about it.
