Not political to open it, but political to keep it open unnecessarily and against the agencies own rules.
That's fair, and you can critique that. But Durham is a lawyer... A US attorney for many years before being tapped for this investigation. Now he can CLAIM that the FBI didn't follow policy. He can CLAIM that it was politically kept open. That's fine. That's just a claim by an outsider who has never served as a Federal Agent or a Federal Judge and has no special expertise in either job. And remember, I Judge signed off on this as required by Federal Law.
But again. Durham was assigned to investigate and charge people that broke the law. And he came up empty.

Uh...no. He came up EMPTY. NADA. NOTHING. This was the "Crime of the Century". Trump himself called it that and Durham was the hand picked guy to put folks in jail for it. He had a grand jury to charge people and the option (which he took twice) to bring people to trial. You talking about Durham's report reminds me of this:
