New York fly fishing recommendations/first hand experience

Will be in NYC in mid September for a long weekend with a surgeon for business meeting/education course. Would like to get out of the city and fish for a day. I see the Catskills and the upper Delaware river area are around 2 hours away. Figured I’d ask here if anyone has any specific recommendations or first hand experience fly fishing anywhere in NY or surrounding areas? Any advice is appreciated, neither of us are rookies, I’ve just never been to the area. Thanks
