Nice little pro Trump rant

(R)/(D)/(I)…….it doesn’t matter in this case. I can’t believe that in 2022, in The United States of America, we have people that think it’s perfectly okay to use a swastika as a method to troll/intimidate/divide and don’t think it makes them a despicable piece of shit. It also defies belief that we have guys that are defending it (or marginalizing the use of it as no big deal). There’s nothing trivial or confusing about the use of a swastika.

You don’t even know what happened

Maybe there wasn't anyone saying that she had documents at her home. Trump had documents that he wasn't supposed to have at his home, hence why it was searched.

How about address the fact that his lawyers apparently lied and said that all documents marked as classified had been returned.

Instead of whataboutism how about you focus on what Trump did.
Cant use the word FACT in the same sentence with APPARENTLY since it means not a fact but might or maybe. Use the word Maybe or MIGHT HAVE instead of FACT.

I hesitate to say definitely when I haven't heard this directly from them, however, it's pretty clear they weren't honest when they said all classified documents had been returned.

If you are using the Confederate Battle flag you are ignorant to it's history.
You are the one who is ignorant. There is zero question that at least a portion of the people that actually fought in the war did so for reasons other than slavery- primarily those of states rights, or lack thereof - perceived or not. It is also unquestionable it is still seen as a representation of that cause by some today. Don't take this as a denial it is also used as a racist symbol, it surely is.
I have no affinity for the confederate flag, nor do I despise it. It means different things to different people. Does everyone have to feel the same way you feel? It wasn't that long ago that it was flown over multiple state capitals. Are you telling me all the people in those states, or even all the people responsible for allowing it to be flown are racists? That is not even ignorance, that is abject stupidity. If there is no other interpretation of that flag that means that the majority of the people in all those states as well as all the governors and the majority of the representatives in those states chose to basically fly a KKK flag for decades and were overt racists. Please tell me you are smarter than that.

I'm mainly pointing out the ignorance of using that particular version of the flag.

Couple of things. Many are uneducated about the different "versions" of the flag and do not know one from the other- both those who support the flag and those who are offended by it. I would suggest the vast majority of general public makes no distinction between iterations of the confederate flag. Second, I did not read the article, but even in the fist sentence in the link states an alternate meaning/representation of "rebellion" and NOT racism.

Not condoning nor defending anyone just providing info, but JBSK did not create that symbol on his own. These guys in Britain were arrested for tweeting that out (and yes Twitter banned them) - look up Laurence Fox. It was covered on the news beginning of July

Wouldn't that qualify as ignorant? That's literally what uneducated means.

Well, if you are speaking specifically of the battle flag, it was never an official flag of the confederate. As stated in the article you posted, It was seen by those who used it as a states rights/rebellion symbol even in the early 1900's. The article tells you multiple times it has held different meanings to different groups- some of which were in fact racist. Based on that article, I would say those who say it can only represent racism would be the ones who are ignorant. Did you read the article?

It became a symbol for "States Rights" in the 60's in the South. Wonder what rights they were "fighting" for under National scrutiny during that time?

It was a symbol for states rights(specifically as opposed to slavery) well before the 60's, again as clearly stated in the article YOU linked. Clearly, it has been used as a symbol for racism by some, no one with a brain can/would deny that. However, that does not change the fact that that is not, and has not been the plurality of its meaning either in the past or in the present- as clearly stated in the article. Did you read the article you linked? It clearly says this multiple times.

The confederate battle flag or the “stars and bars” is the flag of the army of Northern Virginia or the confederate naval jack

it was erected during the civil rights movement as opposition against integration. So basically it was co-opted by racists(actual racists) to defy integration. I’ve always supported removing it from the state grounds, at it has essentially zero historical representation for the state of SC

I’m 100% opposed to anything that excludes black South Carolinians from the state grounds - were all South Carolinians, regardless of color. We can pay homage to our ancestors in the right way, the stars and bars isn’t it

I think one should wait until the details come out in court or a hearing. Every ex PONTUS and VP carry these type of docs when they leave office. Most end up in their presidential library when its built or the congressional library. We still dont know what was taken. They claimed they didnt take his passports only to come out awhile ago and admit they did and will return them today. So we dont know what they got since they dont know either it seems. TBH I dont care about old nuke codes since they are useless, thats if its even true. I want to see what they got. I dont care about all the guessing thats going on these news networks. About 90% of the shit they put out is false. I want official info not by some anonymous source with no face and name and we need to see it...
I have used allsides also as a hub of different news. I used ground news to track what i consume so i dont end up in an echo chamber. I also use it to check sources to see their bias and where they get news from. Its a great tool to have. The right tends to consume way more news out of its bubble than people on the left...

Let’s see these statistics about the right consuming more news outside its bubble. I think the reality is the majority on both sides get their news from increasingly polarized sources. We all just need to stop treating each other as the enemy.

Nice extension that rates the site your on bias if any and you can even search some people you follow to see where they are getting their news from......

It's called progress.

What year would we have to go back to in order to reclaim the America you yearn for? My guess is 1862, the year before the Emancipation Proclamation, amirite?

Progress to where? Progress in what way? You think we're making progress now?

As someone that grew up in a place of true multicultural diversity in every way, I can tell you what we're doing now is not progress. It's actually undoing the progress we've made.

@JoeBidenSniffsKids can defend himself if he wants. But earlier in this thread he clearly stated his views on such things. Why would you choose to be part of this mindlessness that's taken hold where you want to tar and feather him for your inferred intent behind something he posted? What's your end game? Who decided you or people like you should determine what is acceptable thought and expression and what isn't? Do you even smell what you're shoveling? The true irony is that your prescription to solve the hate you perceive is to address it with even more hate. Not sure how anyone can view that as progress.

How do I unsubscribe from your Ted Talks?

Yes, there are people who do that. It's not right, unless the person has done some racist shit, of course.

It is also not right that a group on the right calls all liberals communist socialists. For one thing, it isnt possible to be both of those things at the same time. But it also isnt true.
sorry I missed this reply. Yes I agree. Most people dont know the different sects on each side. The communist and socialist are called leftist. Thats not what liberals are. Same thing on the right. This is how I view things from left to right..... communist, socialist/progressives, liberals, libertarian, conservatives, far-right, religious right(Church is the gov). Most people are between liberal to conservative. The extreme's are the ones that do the most harm.
