The verdict was right and just. Here are the facts:

The kid shouldn't have been there in the first place. And, neither should those intending and hoping for violence. Especially those looking to take Kyle's life

Nevertheless, Kyle was there. And, it is obvious beyond a doubt that every action he took was in self-defense. The correct decision was made.

The biggest crime here was committed by the cowardly Governor, Mayor, local law enforcement, and the media.

The governor, mayor, and local law enforcement allowed this situation to happen.

The media has the most blood on their hands. They wanted calamity and encouraged it at every turn.

Anyone suggesting this is not a just outcome is against our system of government. Those people need to be resisted at every turn. Those people are evil and enemies of democracy

I'll agree with some of this. It was pretty apparent from the evidence presented that he acted in self defense. I think the jury got it right for sure.

I also agree on the stupidity of him being there. His parents need a boot in their asses FOR SURE. Who the hell gives a 17 year old with no training a military grade rifle and tells him to go guard a business in a riot? That's a recipe for disaster. I don't blame the kid though... I could have been talked into doing that when I was 17.

BUT I do think the media was engaged in a classic case of victim blaming here. Just like a rape victim walking down a bad street in revealing cloths or a robbery victim walking around with cash displayed in hand. Stupid? Absolutely. But last I heard, being stupid is not punished by rape or being robbed. Same thing here. Stupid to be there? Yup. But last I heard, being stupid is not punished by convicting someone defending themselves of murder.

I disagree on one thing. This young man saw a void in leadership and stood up. If more citizens did exactly as he did we would be in a better place.

If more people stood up to these rioting law breakers we’d have shut that crap down long before. We have a void in society, particularly of men with conviction. We need more men standing up for what is right. If we had that, we’d have far fewer problems.

Decision might have been legally correct, but it was certainly not just.
So you think justice was being pursued by Grosskreutz who was pointing an illegal handgun at a 17 yr old kid when he was shot in self defense? A 27 yr old with arrests for beating his grandmother, dwi, domestic arrest, burgulary, etc? You think this is the guy who was pursuing justice? You think he was acting as some kind of good samaritan at the time?
He is a 17 yr old kid who made a bad decision to be somewhere he did not need to be. If he is at fault for that, he is less so than the other three people involved who were much older and should have known better than to be there. Also, if you are an adult attacking a physically inferior kid during a riot, you better expect he or any other human being to defend themselves by any means necessary.

What would have been just in your opinion?

After watching the trial, I don’t understand all the outrage. It’s extraordinarily clear he wasn’t guilty of murder or the 1st degree charges brought against him.

Perhaps the prosecution should have tried to find a more reasonable set of charges to pursue if they wanted a more “just” outcome.

Lol, as usual you let your political leanings totally obstruct any hint of objectivity in your brain. Truth be told he did the world a favor, and was 100% justified in doing so. Whats very satisfying about this is the precedent it’s sets. You won’t like that because ”your side” is always the antagonist and will likely be on the wrong side of the barrel when they go too far. In celebration I got 400 rounds for my ar pistol yesterday!

Exactly. If the politicians are not going to allow police to protect us, it’s time for far more people to stand up. Sadly this is all headed to something much worse.
