Just because he said the trajectory indicated it didn't come from Russia, doesn't mean it wasn't fired by Russia. Could have come from the sea or even Belarus (a Russian proxy).Not so fast.

I would be all in on NATO ending this right here and now, though I understand the concern about the nuclear threat. I just don't think we can let it slide because of fear...

It wouldn't be just the US, it would be NATO, which consists of 30 countries. An attack on one is an attack on all. We could kick them out of Ukraine in a couple days if we needed to. Not advocating going into Russia itself, but if you remove the Orcs from Ukraine and institute a no-fly zone - problem solved.
First of all the vast majority of the funds and manpower of NATO is the US, so dont go there. You obviously have no idea what war is and what Russia has. First of all Russia can and would challenge us in the air, ground and sea. You are out of your mind if you really believe that we could take Russia out in a few days. It would be a years long engagement. Basically WW3. Do not think for a second that China would just sit idly by and watch either.

Do you have a military background or any understanding of logistics and supply line? Hell no!! Have you been following this war? US + NATO would absolutely destroy the fvck out of Russia in a conventional war, and do it quickly. Their capacity to make war has been dramatically reduced with sanctions + Ukraine. Their capability is far less than originally perceived. It would not be WW3, China doesn’t want that smoke either. The only threat from the orcs is nuclear weapons.
That said, we shouldn’t engage them unless absolutely necessary. The approach in Ukraine has been perfect. Zero American lives lost, slow destruction of a top 3 global military. Win win.

There are certainly no guarantees that all parties would stick to a "conventional" war. NATO shouldn't want to provoke Russia into any sort of a war. People do crazy shit when cornered.

My take is war is a last resort and Ukraine Russia territorial war does not rise to that level. No US vital national security interest at risk in that situation.

Saw a report this morning that said 60% or more of Ukraine's power grid is broken. Facing a large humanitarian crisis where people may freeze to death. The world needs to come together and put an end to this.
