Bc they have nearly half of all cases and he's done a better job than Trump.
Ignoring Intel for two months that would have got the ball rolling on a response, disbanding the pandemic dept, and spending 10 days saying this isn't a big deal is doing a poor job.
Not to mention putting Mike “smoking doesn’t kill people” Pence in charge of the response.
There are consequences to putting people who think the earth is 7,000 years old in positions of power.
I feel both have done a good job thus far honestly. Tough situation for everyone. No one wants to get it wrong.
Same people that are criticizing Trump now are the ones that said he was xenophobic and racist for banning China travel to and from US. Yes, it was 10 days after 1st known cause in US but the libs/Democrats butchered him over that ban. I would just like neutral media or same media that covered H1N1 under Obama. Not really, that media stuck their heads in the sand.

Pretty much everyone including Dems applauded his prison reforms. So... I don't know what to tell you.
Lots of praise for Cuomo now for his response for getting more temporary beds. But what is conveniently forgotten, as AG and then Governor, he greatly expanded on the work of the Berger Commission that was designed to close roughly 4500 hospital beds in New York State. Berger was set up like the military base closure commission. Once identified, there was no choice but to close them. Ultimately under his leadership, Cuomo shut down over 20,000 beds all for saving Medicaid dollars.

Trump took it lightly for too long but he has stepped his game up now and is taking it seriously. Still is way too concerned about how all this makes him look, but he has Mike "Mr. President" Pence to continue to state what a great job Trump has done with one out of every three sentences he utters at these press conferences. He is the ideal VP for Trump with his incessant ass kissing.
The distinction is that many believe he was xenophobically motivated when he travel banned China, but in hindsight, it was not a bad move at all and most medical professionals would say a good decision. However, after that , he did nothing except stall it and call it a Democrat hoax. He made a good move initially , albeit from the wrong motivation, then sat on what was a good move, and completely blew it thereafter.
