Its been well known for a long period of time that Haley is an establishment player.

DC is a uniparty, like a massive syndicate with competing factions jockeying for more power and money. Not much difference in policy at all. The laws are all written on K Street by DC lawyers working with lobbyist lawyers working for corporations/ special interest groups. legislators haven’t written laws in decades. It’s all and only about power and money. People who donate to political campaigns make me laugh, such a total waste of time. Any newly elected official is immediately offered deals for their votes within weeks of arrival. If you want any reelection Support from the uniparty and money that flows to them and any commitee appointments and power you vote the way they tell you to, period. Yah there’s a few outliers but they have zero total effect on policy and the way things go there.

Haley is just another player trying to work her way up the syndicate ladder. She’s very good friends with the Bush’s who are just another faction of the establishment. It amazes me how few really see just how broken and corrupt this government is. The re-election rate is over 95%. There’s almost never any real reform that benefits the little guy, and until Trump, never any reduction in federal power by deregulation, and always their are new laws which reduce freedoms and limit economic growth for lower and middle classes, and always benefit the ruling class and their donors.

Incredibly well said and absolutely true!!

All joking aside, Nikki Haley has positioned herself really well. She got the Trump rub for the far right, but left before it got really crazy. Shea got to be planning a presidential run.
She is planning something but will now be on the outside without majority Republican support.

I think the libertarians will get more support.

See Rand Paul, Kristi Noem, Matt Gaetz for people likely getting R support in next election cycle.

You are not completely wrong in your description of DC. But the answer to that problem is not a shady reality TV show host who wants to replace the current establishment with a new one - his own family. Like all “reformers” in history who have attacked the ruling elite, they inevitably become the ruling elite, more corrupt than those they replaced.

Term limits is the answer to the question you are asking. Not Trump.

The Republican Party must split into two parties. The Trump Seditionists and the Republicans. We need a three party system. Let’s make it happen!

Nah I just liked Trumps policies and the fact that he did what he could to enact them. He’s far to politically inexperienced and egotistical,
And good luck getting term limits passed. That ship sailed a long long time ago. These people will do anything to stay in office
He did himself in with his crazy tweets and completely unsophisticated approach. He gave his opponents all the ammunition they needed and then some, with his crass unpresidential demeanor and horrible communication skills. He didn’t respect the office and he wasn’t conciliatory, but pugilistic and bullying. NOBODY likes a bully or someone who can show no self control or ability to elevate himself above the fray.
Say what you want about his agenda/policies but Obama was a master at seeming to rise above the politics. He is a much more polished speaker and far better communicator.
Had Trump taken a much less aggressive and mature approach and let his detractors say what they want without bombastic reckless retribution he would have garnered more support from the middle. His policies did help lower and middle class people quite effectively, but he should’ve known he’d never get credit where due.
In a situation with a hostile media and political establishment on both sides he would’ve done far better in the end had he took the high ground and let the office of President and the people’s desire to see someone stable and conciliatory Work in his favor.
You can only beat someone up for so long without fighting back before most moderately political people will take the side of the person taking the high road and staying out of the political gutter. Trump is a street brawler who thinks he can put punch and outlast you, he wants to live in the gutter of media brawling but this was a disastrous approach to say the least.
Ronald Reagan was a master of communication and using the office of President, and moderation in his words, to engender respect and support in spite of a very hostile media, and this is fundamentally why he was reelected. He connected with everyday people from a broad swath of the populous.

First comment of yours I can agree with. Bottom line we never see DC for the corruption it is without this reality TV host exposing all the BS. See term limits... something everyone can agree on... I do think the description of DC by @clempzenbill is accurate though. Maybe you will come around after all the corruption on both sides comes out.
