Whats everyone's thoughts on our conference long-term? I'm concerned that the Power-5 may naturally transition more and more to the Power-4, especially if the playoff stays at 4 teams.
How does the ACC compare to the other Power-5? What are our strengths?
Personally, I think the ACC made a critical mistake by increasing the number of private schools at expansion. It will be hard for us to compete with conferences that have much larger stadiums, fans, and alumni bases. Right now, we have UM, Duke, WF, BC, and Syracuse all as private. On top of that I believe Clemson, UVa, and GT have pretty low alumni bases due to being smaller public schools.
How does our conference schools line up with facilities? I know UM has some of the worst facilities in the conference. I wonder how we compete as a conference with smaller stadiums that are rarely full. I know UM and Pitt having off campus NFL stadiums does not help.
