I spent the last several days in Michigan trying to get my arms around my recently deceased uncle’s estate. I always suspected he and his live in girlfriend were hoarders, but I had no idea. It’s really sad and staggeringly destructive. They own several properties and all are an absolute disaster.
He left no will, so now we have to sort out what to do between my family and his 40 year girlfriend. I can’t in good conscience give her total control over something she will destroy the rest of. What a mess!
Anybody else had to deal with this kind of situation?
