OT- Anyone seeing colleges requiring N95 mask?

I know, 71% of Americans have been vaccinated & yet we have more active cases in the US now than we did at any point in 2020 when there was no vaccine available…
Man, that vaccine sure does work………………………………spreading Covid

First of all, 71% of Americans are not vaccinated….that figure isn’t even close to being right. It’s more like 51%….and in SC only like 45% is fully vaccinated.

If everyone over 18 would’ve gotten vaccinated when they should have there would be no delta variant now.

I just don't understand why Americans ignore the data from right here in the greatest country in the world (the data that shows that vaccines greatly reduce your chances of catching, being hospitalized with or dying of covid) and quote data from other countries. Maybe the UK's vax program sucked balls.
Some of us don't believe the greatest country in the world propaganda anymore. The United States of Variants.

Hey man…you got the shot…you’re “protected”, right?!
Why do you care that I’m not?

1) mutation occurs at transmission. More transmission equals more variants. More variants equal more opportunity for CV19 to form a strain resistant to our vaccines and even more deadly.

2) With ICU beds full and hospitals filled with unvaxxed CV patients, people who need medical attention are being turned away.

Im fine with you not taking the vaccine ...but if you get sick from CV, dont go to the Hospital. Live and die with your decision

I was a Moderna vaccine tester who got the placebo. I understand this quite well.

I caught COVID and have natural immunity. I also have been vaccinated with the Moderna shot. I have the strongest protection known to mankind at this point in time. I will take my chances now on going mask-less.

COVID is endemic. It will never go away. I don't plan to wear a mask for the next 30 years. Better get used to living with it. Take your mask off and live free.

And those who have breakthrough infections are generally mild. It is part of what HAS TO BE DONE to build immunity to COVID.
THIS!!! Exactly

The science that I see tells me that I, as a vaccinated individual, have about a 0.2% chance of a breakthrough infection at this point, so I completely understand that I am "at risk" of getting sick. The chances of me having a level of infection that requires me to be hospitalized is a little less than that and my chance of dying from said case is even more remote than that. As such, I feel as "safe" generally speaking. I wear a mask where I am asked to do so, but it pisses me off that I am being asked to do so because there are so many jack holes that refuse to get the shot. THAT group of individuals blows MY mind!!

Now do those that have prior infection and their breakthrough %, see it isn’t just vaxxed or not...natural immunity is a conversation that needs to be had.

You can't make people understand this. You can explain it to them, but you can't understand it for them.

For some reason (media) we think Vaccinated people are safe. Blows my mind.

Blows my mind…follow the money. Big Pharma gives more money to Washington and politicians than any other industry. They win while the rest of the country loses

It is mind blowing that kids in Greenville County who are “exposed” have to go home from school for minimum 10 days from exposure if unvaccinated but vaccinated don’t have to be

My son was contact traced and it was 6 or 7 days later and they sent him home for the remainder of the 10 days from exposed date. He had been at school an entire week…this crap is getting ridiculous

Also, the only good thing that comes out of N95 masks being worn is I have unlimited supply and my sales will be really good so there is that.

I agree. I think the vaccines are spreading it, weakening immune systems resulting in these variants.

I’ve had Covid…i survived…

I know very, very few that have died from complications associated with Covid…I say that bc they all had other issues that contributed as well…those very few had been vaccinated though…so there’s that.

I do think there needs to be more acknowledgment of natural immunity. I do believe that we are seeing that now as conversations in some states about antibody testing and required counts needed for immunity are occurring.

with that said … where it maybe true that Natural Immunity may provide equal to better protection than the vaccine it is also true that you have to contract and survive Covid in order to achieve said immunity. It is also true that there is an OCEAN of difference between the 1.6% and .006% mortality rates of unvaxxed vs vaxxed.
