I posted awhile back about the kids birthday experience at baseball games and wanted to report back on our experience. If you have a kid that it enjoys baseball I highly recommend doing this. They set you up a table with a gift bag and other items ont he balcony at Jervy. The cost was $200 and that got us 10 tickets to the game, 10 $5 concession vouchers, William got to go on the field and get his picture taken with Coach Bakich, they gave him a Baseball with a tiger paw on it and he got a personal message on the video board. We picked up pizza from Todaros to take before the game and left all of our coolers and stuff on top of the balcony at Jervy while at the game.
After the game all the kids in the stadium get to run the bases and our kids went over and got a bunch of signatures from players and Coaches. They all hung around for at least 30 minutes after the game and I heard several regulars saying this isn’t normal, they normally don’t do this. Maybe winning helps with this, but Coach Bakich seems like a family man and seems like a really good dude. He was pumped up after the game and was waving to us parents and saying go Tigers with fist pumps.
The whole experience just reminded me how Clemson is different and it is truly a family environment. Those kids that went with us yesterday will remember that for the rest of their lives.
