Robert Moss, of Charleston City Paper and now BBQ Editor for Southern Living, just released his new book, Barbecue Lovers The Carolinas.
"Perfect for both the local BBQ enthusiast and the traveling visitor alike, each book features: the history of the BBQ culinary style where to find––and most importantly consume––the best of the best local offerings; regional recipes from restaurants, chefs, and pit masters; information on the best barbecue-related festivals and culinary events; plus, regional maps and full-color photography."
Just ordered it myself, but Moss is top-notch so I expect it to be a great read. He published Barbecue: The History of an American Institution in 2010 and is more food historian than food critic. But there is no doubt he knows his stuff.
