Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot. He also rescued the economy from Carter's stagflation. I am over 50 and he is by far the best president of my lifetime.

Vietnam Nam veterans, yes they did. Vietnam Nam war protesters, yes they did. People who hated Richard Nixon, yes they did. Actually, Richard Milhouse Nixon comes to mind. Listening to the tapes gave amazing insight into the moral level of the Oval Office. The public had never heard inside conversations before. It convinced everyone that his public statements were willful lies. It was many years after then that LBJ’s tapes were released. To a degree, every presidential scandal since is played out with Watergate as a backdrop

Best of my lifetime. Best 8 years of business I have ever experienced. Not even close. Was an eternal optimists and new how to deal with both parties effectively.

While I don't dislike Reagan per se, crack was a problem for people with brown skin. And as everyone knew in the 80s... "Aids from God you fagggots!" So who really cared? Certainly not Reagan or his supporters.

But he broke the Soviet Union and for some reason Gorbachev LOVED him(Homo for sure... Kinda like Trump and Putin... only reversed.) and let him do pretty much whatever he wanted at the bargaining table. He also knew how to get stuff done by compromising with the other party... a skill that has been lost.
