Looking to buy a boat but the seller does not have the title. He told me that he could draw up a Bill Of Sale and I could get the Title later. I'm not nervous as the guys is actually a pretty reputable gentleman in the upstate and by the looks of his house, doing extremely well (lives on Hartwell).
However, this is my first boat and transaction like this and I don't want to be left high and dry.
Anyone have any advice or is it possible for me to still get a title and get the boat insured with a BOS?
