True story: I met a guy recently who sells American soy beans, and he said this trade war has almost killed their business. Used to sell almost everything they had as pig feed for China's vast pork industry. Now he's traveling throughout Mexico to try to find someone to take their product for a fraction of what they used to charge.

Trump is apparently subsidizing farmers. I mean theres two options.. do nothing and allow China to own the United States soon or take some economic hits to turn the tide. In the end I'd bet that Farmers end up in a much better position than they would if no action were taken.

In general, I do not keep up with politics at all. However, I have kept an eye on this situation because it does directly impact me (and my wallet).

I don't think this guy realizes how many small towns in the south are owned by the chinese. Almost every where that you see new "town centers" springing up, those are chinese investor owned developments.
