I have a friend here that had it early last year, got vaccinated then got it again over Thanksgiving. I was vaccinated and pretty sure I had Omicron before Christmas or something because I was sick for two weeks with fever one day, lost smell and taste for a few days but very tired and congested that eventually turned into a cough.

I know I had it last new years. I had every symptom out there, except my since of taste was hightened. Salty was extremely salty, sweet was too sweet to eat. Anyway, I did fine with the covid but it did turn to pnumonia. I went to an urgent care where they gave me two antibiotics and Prednisone (steroid). I'm very thankful that I didn't go to the hospital. I did great after that. I did get both Pfizer vaccinations. I'm pretty sure I haven't had it again.

Don’t trust the news sources? But you’ll trust the incoming train wreck of opinions from college football fans?!?!
No, I don't trust the news or the government. Any of it. In today's world, most news is about having extreme commentary one way or the other. There are too many agendas with too much money to be made for me to simply trust these sources today. The people on this board could lie about this, but most don't have reason to lie about this topic. I didn't ask for their opinions just facts about having Covid Twice.

If you do trust the news, more power to you. Although, I'm not sure how anyone has gone through the last two years without losing some sense of trust in the media or government. By the way this is a non partisan answer.

Coworker of mine has had it twice. Had it early 2021 and has it now. She is not vaccinated. First time she got it symptoms were pretty mild but sounds like she’s having a tougher go with it this time.

Coworker had it last spring, no symptoms really, got vaxxed afterwards. Last fall he got it again, had mild symptoms.

Had it May 2021
J&J vax in Aug 2021
Had it again in Dec 2021

1 day of symptoms each time - light fever & headache, plus fatigue. That’s it. I’ve only been sick once as an adult outside of C-19.

It has no favorites & everyone reacts differently. And it’s not going away…we’ll need to learn how to live with it.

One of your better and more agreeable posts, in my opinion. But I don't get the part about media and government. Are the people who make up those entities perfect? Absolutely not. But I haven't loss or gained any "trust".

Coworker just got it for the 3rd time. Fully vaxxed too. First time was before vax, got it twice after.

?Once again, I'm not @Jimmy Green Beans I've been in the board longer than him. I don't post as much. I've asked the mods to change my name but they haven't allowed me to do it.

I mean does anyone really know??? Didn’t the CDC come out and say that for the longest time the test did not differentiate between the flu and Covid (or even the common cold)?

According to test I’ve had it twice . Not vaxxed and have no intentions too (at this point not sure why anyone would). First was in March 2021 and I just tested positive again about a week ago. The first case was similar to flu (the only difference was my taste was altered for about a week. Mild case. This last go round was a low grade fever for one day and then a little fatigue. Already fully recovered. Hopefully it continues to weaken until its not an issue anymore. Seems half the people I know have Omicron right now .

Have a nephew that had three times. Was tested to confirm. The first bout occurred before vaccinations. For last two bouts, he was vaxed. He is 35 and none of the cases were serious.

I’m certain I have - once before it was really known during thanksgiving to lsu natty in New Orleans and once post vaccination. May be trending toward time number 3 with omicron, who knows.

Problem I have is all this "I've had Covid this many times" is WHAT exactly does that mean?
How hot is hot?
How high is high?
How sick is sick?
How many damn 'Covids' are there?

No one knows, is the answer.

I've looked into the eyes of a LOT of Doctors and Nurses in the last month, and I see the helplessness in their faces. They are caregivers and they care. It just bounces from here to there in 'whack-a-mole' status.
They do what they can and hope.
And some pray.

As said, everyone is different. Covid means mostly nothing to me. Covid this, Covid that, no symptoms, a few symptoms, head-aches and then sometimes death.

I am over a month into full blown COVID. Delta they say.
Looking at another 3 months recovery I am told.
Can't imagine having this twice.
I've barely, so far, survived it once.

Extremely healthy. No vax. Will be 70 in March. Never sick.
Picked it up in god-forsaken Denver one weekend, Dec 7th it started.
Hate Denver. Always have.

Devastated lungs, spent 6 days in ICU after over a week at home - with no symptoms (full taste, smell, no fever) except exhaustion and aches.....but losing the oxygen battle, which MADE me go in. Wish I would have sooner. (stubborn = me)
Did not know at the time, but while in ICU they told my wife that the 'next 24-48 hours' would determine my fate.
8 days after returning home on oxygen developed an air cyst in my left lung all of a sudden one morning.

Back to ER. Seemingly somewhat rare, these things are.
It's still there, waiting to shrink or burst.
If burst will have to go in and remove 'air' I'm told. If it's a mild burst.
Right at Aorta.

Try breathing with a 'lump' in your lung while BOTH have very serious scarring and Viral Pneumonia going on......

Have it twice? Three times? Bullshit.
Not THIS Covid, you didn't.

God is Great and I am fine with His plans for me.
And, actually, it's been a very special time with Him.

Next moment a coughing spell almost chokes me to death, out of the blue.
Just like sitting my chair that morning, feeling my left lung 'exploding' as the cyst occurred and grew instantaneously. Amazing. Incredibly painful and debilitating.

Sitting on pins and needles waiting for what is next. You just don't know.
Have slept mostly upright in a chair since home, with pillows and such, as I can't do the prone stuff. There's so much stuff/liquid in my lungs that I have to stay upright, can't lay even on my side.

COVID?
I got it.
Once.
Sure hope these antibodies are gone be good ones.

Twice? More?
God forbid.

I couldn't survive it again.
If I do this time.....

I’ve had it twice and one of the times was after I’d been vaccinated. I don’t want to hear another word from the vaccine experts in this board!

According to some doctors...getting vaxxed after you have COVID actually alters your natural immunity (wife works in medical field)
Yeah, see this is part of what I mean. I had it Jan 21 and my doctor practically told me I needed to get the vaccine in late March. I have heard nothing but mixed information.

Praying for you brother, I hope you get better soon.

I am 63 years old and have not had it at all. My secret to success——no vaccination! 😎
check out this site

I don’t care what your decision is, it’s a personal choice. But bragging about not getting Covid “because” you didn’t get the vaccine is the type of reasoning that will land you on that site (and I hope you never do, don’t wish you any harm at all).
