Any Information would be appreciated. So I have this friend (who am I fooling, most of you know that I have no friends accept for gamewell and nmerritt, and that's a sad group of friends).

Anyways. For most of my adult life I've had some issues with SI Joint Dysfunction or so I believe. Usually a visit or two to the chiropractor or a physical therapy session really expedites my healing. For about the 3 weeks it's gotten aggravated, but this time it's progressively getting worse each day. Before, I'd injure it, be laid up for a day or two and then it would start healing. This doesn't seem to be healing and only getting worse.

Some of the symptoms I'm noticing this time are:

  1. Pain in tailbone when sitting. Pain increases when I turn head left, right, or look down. And the pain is sudden, sharp and breathtaking.
  2. When sitting, it's extremely difficult for me to lift 1 leg to up so that it is parallel to floor.
  3. When healthy, I'm reasonably flexible but right now I can forget about bending at my waist and trying to touch my toes.
  4. Standing or sometimes laying flat is the only thing that allows any relief.
My issue right now is I'm leaving town this weekend and don't have any time to get in to see a specialist which is what my family doc will tell me to do.

Any advice on possible diagnosis, steps I should take, and any advice on temporary short term relief that will get me through this next week will be much appreciated.
