Yes sir. OT threads in the off-season (when they're too many), religious threads and political threads and the ensuing hateful, spiteful back-and-forth between liberals and conservatives. It basically turns into an online fistfight and the discussion quickly gets out of hand. People get really infuriated with it, threaten to cancel, demand that the threads be deleted or shipped to the round table, then sometimes demand that certain liberals or certain conservatives be blacklisted because of something written that's deemed offensive.
We've never received a complaint on a political thread or religious thread sitting on the round table. But let it marinate on The West Zone board for an hour or so, and the emails - like clockwork - come raining in. We really don't have a choice.
Nothing is more polarizing and gets people stirred up more than religious and political posts. Heck, even a loss to South Carolina and you have a ton of people coming unhinged, but most of that anger is directed at coaches and players, not each other. People just turn on one another and take one another apart and come unhinged when it comes to discussion or an attempt at discussion on politics and religion. We've seen it over and over through the years. It never fails. It's unfortunate, but that's what we're dealing with.
