(Not sure why this needed to be moved to Round Table the first time, but whatevs. Posting again for those that were interested.)

Not gonna lie... most badass thing I've ever owned.

Got 23mpg from Winder, GA to Simpsonville, SC. Plenty of power. Rides like a dream. More bells and whistles than I actually know what to do with. So quiet, you would never believe it's a diesel.

Business partner pulled his boat yesterday from TR to Keowee and never dropped below 21 mpg.

Thanks for posting. Already wanted the F150 text but been waiting to see what Toyota did with the Tundra redesign. May not wait to find out.

Gonna stick with stock tires and lift?

Nice ride.

Not sure why he wouldn't. Good Year Wrangler is about as good a tire as you can buy and those look like they may be ATs. Even if they aren't those are nice tires to go with until it's time to change them up.

As far as lifts go, I think they are gay. I don't mind a leveling kit, but people who lift their truck considerably crack me up.

very nice truck. Now I wouldn't consider myself a poor, but at a 60k price tag, I have a tough time swallowing that price.

Just to let other people who may not know, diesels (Cummins) like the one in my Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab 5.9L gets 24-25 miles per gallon if I stay around 55 mph, (that's hard for me to do). I am waiting to see what the new 2019 Ram 2500 will look like, it's time for a new one, I have 315,000 miles on the Mega Cab and still going strong. I love the cummins engine, best diesel on the market IMHO...

Once you get a few tanks on it, would you mind hand calculating mileage on a few tanks and updating?

My 2015 Tundra just hit 150,000 this weekend.
Its time for an update...diesel F-150 is high on my list.
Im very suspect of Ford's on board MPG calculators though. My 2013 250 would constantly report 19mpg but I never hand calculated a tank past ~15.5

We bought these through the company we co-own. So we are using pretax money instead of post-tax. Makes a huge difference in what you can justify lol.

Gotta replace my 02 F150 soon, hopefully not earlier than next summer. These are high on the list!

Me too. Not a slight to the OP at all, but I'll wait two or three years, find one that someone has taken care of with low miles and get it for half the price. Driving a F150 Lariat now - did that exact thing. Got it for less than half the original asking price.

Unless I win the lottery, I'll never buy a brand new vehicle. To me it's a utility not a luxury.

First time I've ever paid more than $15k on a vehicle. Company is buying this one, so we could justify spending more. Uncle Sam hasn't hit these funds yet. If they last 200k-300k+ miles (which they easily should) and get the mpg's published, they will be worth it.

Also, we haul 500-1000 pounds a lot in the bed. We also occasionally need to pull a trailer with a lot more weight than that. So, this option fits us pretty well.

What's the price difference between that and the eco boost 3.5?

Just adding in for comparison, my 2008 2500HD 4WD gets 22 mpg on the highway at 55-60 mph unloaded. As noted earlier, a diesel is not happy at 55 mph so I generally run 70 while getting a solid 20 mpg unloaded.

I get 16.5 mpg in combined driving which is mainly piss poor country roads. This is all hand calculated.

The real answer though is that I really don't care about fuel mileage. I love the comfort and horsepower.

Man i know exactly what you mean, my 6.6 hates anything under 65.

No one believes me... gas guys anyways, they just tell me it’s an excuse to go fast.

Sweet ride, been thinking about this myself

Also, FYI for those interested...

I've never seen a dealership as big as Akins Ford in Winder, GA. They promised us a better price than anyone else, and they are making some sweet deals on the gas ones, too. Have two other employees who have bought from them this year, and they are ultra aggressive with the price. One of the top Ford dealerships in the SE.

Jesus. I bought my Tacoma in 2016 and I only have 25k on it. Where are you driving yours every day?

Great looking trucks. That's very very impressive towing mileage for a 3,500 pound boat. Did he mention how the truck felt towing?...Underpowered at all, having to downshift a lot and search for gears to pull hills?

He said he couldn't even tell the boat was back there. Drove great, no jumping gears, and easily ran 65 with it. RPM's stayed 1200-1300 the whole time. He said it towed it much smoother and easier than his V8 2010 F150.

TFL got pretty awesome results with the Ram eco-diesel. The Ford had to limp home, but they said the pre-production test model was calibrated incorrectly.

Almost bought that truck, but went with an upgraded XLT Sport with the after market level kit/tint/wheels/tires/exhaust instead. Not all the bells and whistles, but I love it!
Would attach a pic, but a novice and can't figure it out....and before anyone says to, I searched the threads too....

I would also recommend Crossroads Ford in Cary, NC. They have the second biggest indoor showroom in America supposedly, and they were really great when I bought my most recent F-150.

Do you use a tuner? I have and 06 LBZ and get no where near that mileage.

Last year, I got a good deal on a new 2016 F150 super cab sports package 4 x 4. Titanium bluewith red lettering F150, huge sunroof. Just got the line x spray in liner and fitted husky floor mats. The new bed liner is much better. I traded in a Chevy Silverado and like the Ford better. Great truck...enjoy!
