Gotta stick it to us somehow.....and it is our own country doing it.
Help me understand how a couple of weeks ago gas in the Columbia area could be found for 1.80 ish. In rock hill it was down to around 1.65-1.7. Oil was around 46 bucks per barrel.
Fast forward to now. Oil is now 42 bucks per barrel and there is nowhere in the midlands under $2/gallon. I don't follow the ins and outs of the oil industry but I do follow raw crude and consumer prices. They do not add up currently. What gives?
January 46/barrel = 1.80
March 42/barrel = 2.10
8.5% decrease in crude = 17% increase to consumers. Is it going to go down and it just takes a few days?
(all of these numbers are specific to Columbia and are estimates based on what I have seen)
