I've been invited to Bandon Dunes in March 2025. Need some help.
1) Are caddies optional or required? Is it only walking or are there any carts out there?
2) Thoughts on that time of year? I hate the cold, and while it won't be frigid, I'd rather go in the late spring thru November stretch. Also, looks like it rains about 50% of the time that month. Look, I'm not a total soft-ass / cheap-ass, but I'd be lying if I said I'd be happy while I am out there dropping $250 - $350 (+whatever the rate is for a caddie) per round and it's cold and wet. Seems like decent odds that's the case. Plus, my half-ass golf swing is going to be more like pure-ass in the month of March since i don't really touch a club during the 2-3 months before it. I'd much prefer to go at the end of the season than the start of the season, but not my call.
3) How's the travel? I know it's not the easiest to get to and from, but what's the most efficient way? Am I going to end up renting a car too?
Would love to go and check it off the bucket list, but in some ways, I think I'm trying to talk myself out of it. I know it's going to be RICH.... Fire away with thoughts, input, advice, etc.
