I wish the democrats had planted people other than the ones I see driving around with Obama Biden stickers and the COEXIST stickers on their cars still to protest the hearing.

I am very tired of hearing the continuous references to this side or that side of the aisle. This type of hearing is one good example of how far apart the liberals and conservatives are.

Jesus... This sickens me. I know that I lean left compared to most of this board. But the constitution clearly states that the President with advice and consent from the Senate picks the next member of the supreme court. IMHO, that means that the Senate checks the person's credentials and makes sure they aren't nuts and that they are qualified for the position... and that's all.

I thought it was bullshit that the Senate held up Obama's pick for the Supreme Court and I think it's bullshit that this is going on as well.

I applaud your consistency, no sarcasm. I'd probably feel different about this nomination than I do had Garland been seated. Instead I'm just a bitter young person.

You know, I have never actually sat and watched one of these hearings and had a chance yesterday. I thought there would be a few more folks interested in the hearing of a SCOTUS selection.

But wow at the mockery of the beginning and the soapbox standing by dems and the back slapping by reps.

agreed, im sick of the divisive politics. I don't gaf about the hypocricy of pubs with Obama's pick.
